No matter how much you imagine and look ahead, there's never any guarantee that things will turn out just how you want them to be. There are millions of possibilities and things that could happen.
Which path will you take?
What if you make a mistake?
What if it won't work out in the end?
Fear, it turns out, almost always goes hand-in-hand with change. Sometimes this fear is so strong that it totally paralyzes us from doing what we must do. We end up becoming stagnant, complacent, and effectively take opportunities for granted.
But there's one thing we can do to conquer that fear: take action.
It doesn't have to be a big, life-changing action at the onset. It's almost always best to start small and slowly build up from there. If there was any greater need for patience and consistency, this is where it's needed most. Small, concrete actions daily have proven time and again to be more effective than monumental yet sporadic actions. This in no way makes big and life-changing actions in our lives any less important. It's just that small, daily actions are more reliable for creating lasting change.
Another important thing to remember is not only to take action, but to act right now. Don't wait for things to be perfect to take action and do something. There's no time better or more perfect than now. When you realize that now is all the time you really have, you'll find it easier to do what you whenever you can.
Take action. Now.
